3 Best skincare tips that changed my life

The world of skincare is full of tips and tricks. Drink water, sleep well, eat properly, I bet you all heard these “best skincare tips” at least once in your life. But the fact is, skincare is more than these basic beauty and skincare tips. And I realized it from own my experience.

Since my teenage, I have always been into the skincare game. From trying all those horrible smelly DIY masks to following all the nifty tips, I did everything. I wouldn’t say everything worked out the way I always wanted. But some of them did and today I am going to share 3 of that great beauty and skincare tips that changed my life (or skin?) forever!

#Best Skincare tip 1: Always do “double-cleansing”

Okay, I must confess, I always thought double cleansing is a waste of time and money. But God knows why I thought of giving it a try and I am happy that I did.

If you are new to skin care, double cleansing is cleansing your face with two cleansers: oil based and water based. The simple science behind this is like dissolves like. Which means oil cleansers will take away the excess oil and water cleansers sweep away the pore-clogging dirts.

Now the question is: does it work? For me it did. My skin looked and felt better. On top of that, after starting double cleansing I noticed less breakouts too.

#Best Skincare tip 2: Use a night cream

I know a lot of you are skeptical about night creams. But trust me when I say it is NOT a gimmick. I have been using it since my teenage. And it has been one of the best skincare tips I have ever taken for my skin.

So why it is so important? The moisturizers you use on daily basis are not so heavy. But during night time your skin gets drier and it requires extra moisturization. Night creams are heavy and can ensure that extra level of pampering to your skin.

Also, your skin regenerates at night. Thus if you provide it with the right ingredients, the regeneration becomes easier. And night creams are specifically formulated to promote cell renewal and rejuvenation.

#Best Skincare tip 3: Start using anti-aging products in your early twenties

One of the common myths is you can’t use anti-aging products unless you are in your forties. WRONG!

In fact, you should start using it in your early twenties. The earlier you start using it, the less damage your skin faces. It is always better to take preventive steps to make your skin prepared for the upcoming wave of aging (cause it sucks!).

I started following this skincare tip when I was 21. And I must admit I used most of my mom’s anti-aging products (and she doesn’t know to date!). Did that help me? Hell yes! I have no signs of wrinkles and people still ask me which college I am going into? (for the record, I am now 30 years old!)
